A PRODUCTION ENGINEER is required by our Client to establish the company as an industry leader in performance craft in India.

Our Client is part of a multi-million dollar industrial group that has interests in automotive manufacture, multi-utility vehicle manufacture, financial services, trade, retail and logistics, automotive components, after market, IT and infrastructure development as well as boat building.
The Yacht Division was launched at the Mumbai Boat Show in 2009 with the objective to supply the rapidly growing domestic Indian leisure marine market with a range of motor yachts between 20ft to 40ft

Responsibilities:
• You will be required to provide technical expertise in the area of design, development and production
• Experiment with materials and design in the boating industry to further the features of the boats
• Investigate various production processes such as; UV curing, Vacuum Bagging, Autoclave & Rotational Moulding and assess their appropriateness
• Ensure the current production process of the small craft to the highest quality standards and oversee the team on the shop floor
• Oversee and assist procurement and supply chain, plus sourcing of fitting from all over the world, for boat building

Qualifications:
• BS in Naval Architecture Marine Engineering or BS Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree
• Relevant hands-on experience with boat building materials for marine applications
• Knowledge of lamination schedules
• Knowledge of hand & spray lay-up techniques, polyester resins, vinylester, phonelics & pre-preg materials
